An African Fair Trade Boutique in Washington, DC
AmaniDC is currently in the midst of dressing up our shop. New displays. Fresh products. Splashes of color. Stay tuned for news on the progress. We can’t wait to show it off!
Thankfully, we’ve had lots of help in the process. Donated furnishings and consultations from friends and neighbors have been so helpful. This past weekend, we were particularly grateful for a group from Immanuel Bible Church in Springfield, Virgina who visited us to learn about AmaniDC and help us put together some new display units during their Urban Immersion weekend. What was meant to be a short 2-hour stop turned into six hours of assembling and installing. Theirs labors were greatly appreciated as we realized the countless hours we would have spent on it otherwise.
And amidst the screwdrivers and pressboard, this multi-generational group got to know Amani and Mt. Pleasant. They fell in love with Mt.P’s diverse vibrancy, eagerly explored the local restaurants, and chatted with neighbors on the street.
Thank you, Immanuel Bible Church, for your time and help!
